PartnerComm Wins Three Gold Quills for 2005

PartnerComm, Inc., a national employee communications agency, recently won three Gold Quill Awards for 2005 from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). Gold Quills recognize outstanding work in the international communications field and are a hallmark of excellence in business communication.

PartnerComm’s enrollment campaign for Dean Foods won an Award of Merit for Benefits Communication. The campaign introduced two new voices, Harley (the hare) and Theo (the tortoise), with a task-oriented approach to help employees make smart healthcare “purchasing” decisions, both during annual enrollment season and throughout the year. PartnerComm also developed an enrollment packet comprised of task-specific communication pieces that give employees the information they need when they need it.

“All About U,” the enrollment campaign developed for Brinker International, also won an Award of Merit for Benefits Communication. This online and print-based enrollment campaign used colorful, attention-grabbing illustrations and case studies to communicate enrollment information in a fun and easy manner. The theme “All About U” sets the tone and establishes that Brinker is indeed in touch with and focused on employee needs. Most of the pieces were designed in both English and Spanish to reach Brinker’s diverse population. PartnerComm also developed a Web site to provide additional benefit details, as well as tools to help employees choose the benefits that fit their needs.

The eye-catching “Thrive” campaign developed for Starbucks won an Award of Merit for Employee Communication. This campaign was developed in partnership with the Starbucks

Strategic Communications and Benefits teams and introduced an initiative to inspire partners to take advantage of wellness opportunities and lead active, healthy lives. The Thrive brand sprang to life with a special tabloid report, a broadcast program on PAX and a CD providing information on the company’s approach to America’s health care crisis. Thrive also features an interactive Web site that includes a health risk assessment (HRA); online fitness, nutrition and smoking cessation programs; a health record where partners can keep track of doctor visits, immunizations and medications; health tracking tools; and a condition center where partners can research health questions and concerns.

Gold Quill winners will be recognized June 27 during the IABC International Conference in Washington, D.C.
