Roche Virtual Benefits Fair Case Study

Check out how we helped Roche safely maintain their annual benefits fairs when in-person gatherings were no longer an option.

Summary

01

In the past, Roche held annual in-person benefit fairs at 10 locations to help employees learn about their benefits. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company couldn’t safely hold benefits fairs onsite in 2020. Roche engaged PartnerComm to develop an innovative, COVID-friendly way to prepare employees for Open Enrollment and 2021 benefit changes.

Challenges

02
  • Safely replace the traditional onsite benefits fair experience.
  • Give employees an opportunity to meaningfully interact with and learn from third-party benefit administrators.
  • Respect the fact that Roche employees are under more stress than ever—urgently developing millions of COVID-19 tests.

Solutions

03
  • A Virtual Benefits Fair experience on a custom microsite that directed employees to valuable content in as few clicks as possible.
  • Simple, two-tab navigation: access to virtual vendor booths and a live events section featuring a library of upcoming vendor webinars and Q&A sessions. (Users could also watch recordings of past events.)
  • Scannable web page designs and organized, curated content.
  • A hidden survey with an incentive to drive employees to the fair.

The Results

  • 89% of employees visited the site—a significant increase over the typical in-person fair attendance.
  • 35% of employees attended a live event—a significant increase over the typical in-person event attendance.
  • 55% of the total population completed the hidden survey and earned the incentive.
  • 89% of respondents “strongly agreed” or “agreed” that the information they found on the Virtual Benefits Fair was helpful.
