By their nature, summary plan descriptions (SPDs) are often thought of as a bunch of mumbo-jumbo legalese. VWR International wanted to break away from that perception. The worldwide distributor of scientific products asked PartnerComm to help them make their SPDs a valuable, easily-digestible resource for both their associates and Human Resource administrators.
Using plan documents, insurance certificates, enrollment material and prior SPDs, PartnerComm drafted a concise, easy-to-read summary of each benefit plan and grouped the summaries according to benefit type. The result is a user-friendly benefits handbook that associates can review whenever they have a benefits question. The oversized handbook sports a back pocket for annual updates, and a sturdy plasticoil binding allows pages to lie flat when the book is open.
