Kellogg employees are spread across the U.S. in more than 75 locations, with over 30 different health care plans offered between salaried, hourly, union and non-union employees and retirees; so it’s vital that open enrollment communication be flexible and customizable by employee group.
We created a “master” version of the Open Enrollment Decision Guide, keeping the focus on goals that affected all employee groups. The guide is short and drives employees online to enroll and get plan specifics. This enables Kellogg to easily create versions of the main guide for each of their employee groups.
Because Kellogg has a major focus on consumerism and wanted to give employees the tools to help them better choose a medical plan, we developed and included a personalized medical plan comparison worksheet for each salaried employee. The worksheet calculates employee cost under each medical plan option using their actual claims data from prior years. That way, employees can see what they would have spent under each plan and make an informed benefit decision for the next plan year.
